In October 2015 Emma Murphy combined 3 of her greatest passions: hair, millinery and the preservation of the Earth to create the beginning of a new lifelong adventure. Nestled between two mountains along the Strandhill-Sligo peninsula now lies Locks & Lace, a place in which radiates Emma’s personality and character.
From an early age, she knew that hair-dressing was going to become a long-lasting obsession that would never waver. Emma understood that being able to make a difference and give people joy was the way forward. Along with her creative team behind her, they set out to make their mark on the hairstyling industry within Sligo County and beyond.
At Locks & Lace you won’t find a production line of people, dressed in dull and drab uniforms. Instead you’ll will be welcomed by the best stylists that Sligo has to offer, each oozing with style and personality to match. We may all be stylists but none of us are alike, so you will always find someone here who can cater to your wants and needs.
Here at the salon we embrace the hair industry, sometimes tweaking it to suit our clients needs. However, we also never forget what we’ve learned and remain true to our roots. We strive to be at the cutting edge of hairdressing (no pun intended), but at the same time reflect on the environment that we work in. The way in which we give back is by following a sustainable and low impact salon life style.
